Eye-Tracking Learning, Reading Research Lab
Budapest, Hungary
Head: Prof. Dr. János Steklács
About us
The methods of eye tracking examinations have developed significantly in the last few decades, therefore the technology available makes it possible to observe children's thinking and information processes in a more detailed way.
It's a priority for the research lab to apply eye tracking examinations in order to examine thinking, problem solving, cognitive and metacognitive strategies within the framework of pedagogical methodology and thereby to determine efficient teaching processes.
Researchers of the research lab examine the nature of the information processing procedures, the cognitive processes belonging to them, the process of learning and skill development. Besides eye tracking examinations the research lab does research on the development of reading skills and develops programmes promoting effective teaching methods relating to literacy skills.
